While waiting for our ferry to the neighboring island, a few scenes to look at and wonder about. The tires are probably there to prevent boats and ships from hitting the concrete wall while loading and unloading passengers. A quick Google search will probably confirm this. The jellyfish bloom on the other hand is a regular occurrence when it is hot and sunny, which is practically everyday it’s not raining. A few articles say such blooms are common in areas where humans have had much impact on the water — case in point: the pier. Also, climate change. Took a bit of time trying to identify these black jellyfish but did not find anything definitive.
